Divas of The Woodlands, get ready to dance.
Dance company DivaDance is now hosting sessions in The Woodlands — but, dancing with DivaDance isn’t like other choreography classes, Houston franchise owner Angie Lawrence said. It’s not marketed as a cardio or workout class — though the benefits of exercise are still a big part of it — but as a way to foster a sense of community and empower women while getting out and doing something fun.
“You do get some good cardio benefits, but you don’t go in with that mindset,” Lawrence said. “It’s about feeling like you’re a part of something or you have somewhere to go where you’re accepted.”
